I believe this discord will become more and more essential for all things kitesurfing in Dublin and Ireland. If you are not familiar to Discord, it can seem a bit complicated at first but once you understand how it works (and it’s actually pretty simple) then you start to see the value of it: it is way more organized than a whatsapp single stream and allows for multiple discussion threads.
As it was started by Dublin kitesurfers, the Discord is for now quite Dublin centric but it is growing fast and will likely become a must for any new kitesurfer.

This group is a pillar of the Dublin kitesurfing community, but is definitely not as much used as the other whatsapp and discord groups. For example, you will very rarely get live update in the Facebook Kiting buddies group. On the other hand, it is useful for info like lost and found, pictures sharing, general comments, etc.

I created this group specifically for carpooling. It is used only when conditions are great and people want to go out, so the activity is not that high. There are not a lot of participants, however this group has been super useful to me and I already used if for many trips to the spots.

I think what he said was basically the message that we get is: “the link was reset”, meaning that even if there’s space, with this link no one will be able to join as the link was reseted.
With a new invitation link, people will get a message saying “this group is full” but still can try to join…
